My understanding on google classroom

ICT has become the most decisive tools in this 21^st century of teaching and learning world. It makes our work simple, lively and effective. One of the most important and interesting implications of ICT I found is Google classroom. I have always wondered what the term Google classroom means, how it is created, and for what purpose it is created.   I thought Google classroom is like social media such as facebook, Instagram, etc… where everyone writes their feelings.  But it was not like what I thought.  Nevertheless, I came to understand the importance of Google classroom for both educators and learners and how they changes things after having learned in the last session.

 I have created my own Google classroom on the topic of social studies for class 4 and also invited some of my friends in my Google classroom.  I did join other Google classroom too. Not only that, I even uploaded task on types of jobs and also provided the links of video clips related to the task given. I too posted an announcement to the class and my students have commented on it.  

 I came to know that Google classroom is a free web service developed by Google for schools that aim to simplify creating, distributing, and grading assignment in a paperless way.  I also understand the primary purpose of Google classroom that is to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students. Google classroom allows teachers to create classes, post assignments, organize folders and view work in real-time. The announcement can be posted by teachers to the class stream which can be commented on by the students allowing for the two –way communicating between the teachers and students

 Not only does Google classroom help with student organization by putting all assignments and work in one safe place, but it also helps teachers too. Creating, copying, assigning, supervising, collecting, grading, recording, and returning work to students is a process requiring a great deal of time and steps. Google classroom simplifies these tasks by combining, eliminating, or organizing them. Google classroom is a valuable time and trouble saver for teachers grading student work.    Now with the knowledge of Google classroom, when I go to the teaching field, I can easily create an online classroom area in which I can manage all the documents that my students need. I can also make assignments from within the class, which my students complete and turn in to be graded.
